The Transmog Queue

Transmog Queue

We have a new blogger in town, The Transmog Queue.

Billed as: The Magnificent Mogging Machine that helps you on what to wear in the World of Warcraft.

This, hopefully, will be a blog site that takes us into the next expansion that will feature the new Wardrobe, a library of all of our available gear appearances.

We need a strong blog-site on Tmogging because it will become increasingly important to players as the potential opens up. By this I mean that the looks are account wide and (we’ve been promised) that looks can be dragged down to our action bars. The suggestion by Blizzard was an “in town” look and a “raiding” look. Surely there will be fishing, questing and dancing looks too!

We need something that will go much farther than Wowhead. The big WalMart style mega-site excels at data-mining and they have powerful resources like the model 3D viewer. But, it goes no farther — no opinion, no soul, no humor.

We need a blog site that will piece together looks instead of sets. We need a blog site that will be knowledgeable about upcoming changes. We need Transmog Queue to be that blog site!

I would like to see categories of sets. I’d like to see “plate hottie sets” with listings on how to obtain the set. I’d like so see fun vintage sets, farmer sets and role-playing sets.

Really, who can forget Hotter Than Ragnaros?

I’m very interested in pieces with special effects.
For example:

  • Voice of the Quilen — a gun that is animated and shoots lighting!
  • Elemental Mage Staff — a Staff with a fire tip that creates a glow around the user, including the ground!
  • Yaungol Fire Carrier — A torch that is a mace (and can be tmogged on swords) that gives a glow around the user and ground.
  • Why not? The shoe-shine guy in Dalaran that makes your feet sparkle!

I’d like to see a LOT more of the above, animated pieces that make the player look unique.

I create toy box macros (click the tag on the left). I can promise that if it can be triggered on the action bar, then my future tmogs will be tied with the toy box.

For example:
/use City Slicker set
/use Pretty Dreanor Pearl
/use Everlasting Alliance Firework
/summonpet Alliance Balloon

To be sure, if I am changing my tmog sets — it’s going to be spectacular!

Welcome Transmog Queue to the blogging community!

  1. Thanks for the welcome, my fellow Queuvian, and now fellow blogger too! You sure seem very interested in the transmog part of this great game too, and you really made some very interesting points about the transmog sites out there. My site, so far, since Legion is still a bit far away, is going to be a recollection of the requests from friends like you, with my somewhat singular touch to the looks.

I’m really looking forward to the next expansion changes to transmog and what they’ll signify to those that actually use this feature to RP, as you said. Different transmog sets and specially the hide shoulderpads toggle will be a game-changing to us transmog enthusiasts.

Thanks for the support and I really hope to live up to at least some of your very interesting expectations!
