“There is no good. No evil. No light. There is only power!”
Good vs Evil in WoW
Chronicles Volume One is a fun read. I am resolved not to tear through it but enjoy the reading. There is a lot of fun stuff and I am often tempted to jump into the game to go look at what is being described.
There is no good, no evil, only power.
One thing that I wonder about is that we see formally good people corrupted into bad guys. Some of them, like Deathwing, was once a powerful good guy who became a powerful bad guy.
I don’t think I’ve ever read in any story or game of (lets say) a jailer to an Old God whispering over centuries. And then that former bad guy becomes a powerful source for good.
Turned bad guys who are now good are always weak, repentant and haunted by their guilty past.
There is only power.
Powerful characters reek of power and potential. The good follow their goals and motivations just like the bad guys do.
Imagine the genius of evil characters; the masterful whispering corruption or the centuries long patient plotting or the deceptions and hurts — being turned to good.
I don’t think I’ve seen it in any story or in real life. Saul of Tarsus maybe.
I wonder why.
