A post on the World of Warcraft

Wants the Achieve

Wants the Achieve

I dinged 20,000 achievement points and it wasn’t an achievement. What a goofy system!

I remember during WotLK when the Achievement system came out. Players were outraged that Blizzard wanted us to go back and re-hash old content; clearly a conspiracy. And yet, they all had the Jenkins title!

I have really enjoying “going for the achievement” in so many circumstances. Researching and building a group or bringing it up on a raid that is strong in current content. The titles, pets and mounts have been a very good incentive. We had our Lumberjack title up to down Cenarius.

Still, it gets to the point when you have hundreds of mounts and many hundreds of pets and a long list of titles that no one looks anymore. That “one more” doesn’t matter so much.

Today, I’m working on Algalon via the Celestial Invitation. You know what that means, Raiding with Leashes is done! The pet battle with Algalon is very hard and, in fact, I’m taking a break to write this blog. I’ll get it eventually. I’m following this guide with no success so far, but it’s a start.

With so much to do in WoW, it is nice to take a tangent for an achievement and a pet.
