Timewalking Raid: Black Temple (New)
It has been data-mined for the upcoming patch. What do you think about a raid via Timewalking?
The Molten Core anniversary run was a disaster. Right?
We all have done enough raiding that we know that part of it is mastering the boss mechanic. It can take a raid group hours and multiple attempts. Sometimes, we get lost trying to find the boss to fight!
It boils down to a if/then situation. If it is LFG, then it has to be simplified. I can’t imagine joining a random group and trying to learn 10 bosses and their mechanics as a reasonable exercise.
Or. If it is LFG, we have to over-power the mechanics. This doesn’t sound like too much fun. Even when a raid is on farm, it can take one or two dedicated hours to complete. That would be a far cry from our 20 minute dungeon runs in Timewalking.
How is this going to work?
Rewards: Will it be tier gear? But upped to 860? It boggles the mind.
I’ve read in the forums of player’s requests for a Timewalking Raid. A flashback to a different time. The raid concept and design has evolved a long way from the Black Temple era. Imagine learning an Interrupt Rotation on an add in the LFG.
Of the choices, Black Temple is a good one. It is (fairly) linear; enter in the tunnel to meet the first boss, up to open air to kill the giant boss, into the temple and go right for the lore confrontation, continue on the right side … and on and on. I’ll say that even at 100 and farming pets, if I accidently pulled the big group of harem girls that I could get stun-rolled for ten minutes until I’d give up.
What do you think? They have the tech to do it but does that make it a good idea?
