Legendary Talent Rings
On the PTR for the next patch are some Legendary rings that will give you a Talent!
Here is the Resto-Druid ring.
Soul of the Archdruid
Item Level 910
Binds when picked up
Unique-Equipped: Legion Legendary (1)
Finger
+2,010 Stamina
Prismatic Socket
Equip: Gain the Soul of the Forest talent.
Classes: Druid
Requires Level 101
Sell Price: 56 7 7
Cannot be destroyed.
And a new game begins! The first question will be, “is it worth it to use this special ring?” Having this ring equipped would mean that I could also have either Incarnation: Tree of Life or Cultivation.
At first blush, I think this might be valuable when they open it up to allow us to equip three Legendary pieces. Also, it is the PTR; if I were the Resto-King, I’d want the next tier up with choices of Spring Blossoms, Inner Peace and Germination. That tier would make me think of using that ring right now.
The Devs have said that they’d like us to get to the point of switching our Legendary pieces for situational needs. I have not seen the Tomb raid yet but I’d love to have a tank damage heavy fight and swap to my pieces that support that kind of boss and then change over to a dispell/movement heavy fight and so on.
The weight that will always be heavy in the balancing of choices is the loss of a primary stat when you remove/replace a chest, boots, shoulders with a ring. The theory-crafting guys say that secondary stats will matter less and less as we move on into Tomb and our primary will be of a far greater value.
I think it is a good idea. Building up an arsenal (or wardrobe) of powerful tools to meet situational needs is a fun idea. Clearly this is PTR and the first pass at the idea, let’s hope they move the choice up to the level 90 talents.
The only problem with designing content with swapping Legendary gear is those who only have two now. I do not have a 3rd or 12th collecting dust in my bank. Hopefully it will only matter for those doing Mythic raiding.

I think the drop-rate will increase or, if you are a weekly raider, then the chances for more Legendary pieces will be served up.
