The Best of the Worse Times in WoW
A couple of days ago, a player in our guild whispered me “go check your mail!”.
I got a Lost Letter that needed delivering.
I had to take it to Madame Goya.
And eventually ended up on this crazy beautiful magical mailroom.
I had to deliver a Huge Package.
And the rest is fun stuff that you can figure out for yourself.
Our guild is passing the letter around. At the end of the questline, you get a toy and a new letter to send to a friend. After that is two more tasks to get the Postmaster title and the mail-themed pet.
I had done some errands but got home in time to watch the Dev Q&A. Really, it was all PvP and boring and nothing new. The expectation was at the end that the new expac announcement would be out BUT that was already done! So, while watching these two bozos chatter mindlessly about the marvels of PvP, I decided to buy the new expac.
It was rough. Real rough.
THEY were not prepared at all! This is the business side of Blizzard and they failed and did a prat fall.
No consumer wants a message like this.
Finally I walked away and came back later. I tried to buy it again and they told me that I already had! I guess the confirmation process was … lost?
This is no way to run a business when I am using a credit card online.
However, what is done is done and I’m on my way to Void Elfing about in Wetlands.
Wish me luck!
