When is Patch 7.2?
One way to guess at a patch is to follow the testing on the PTR. Yesterday they did stress testing by making Dalaran a free-for-all zone (with a big target on Nomi’s head). They have done some raid testing and flipped through a lot of different class combinations. They appear to be pretty well settled.
The other way is to follow the PvP season. Today we get this notice:
Attention Arena and Battleground competitors! Legion PvP Season 2 is coming to a close soon. Once ended, the battle will begin again a few hours after, when Legion PvP Season 3 begins!
Brace yourself but it is very possible that we could get Patch 7.2 this month, at the end of March. A scary thought. I wish they’d be more upfront about it instead of making us guess.
If PvP Season 3 begins without giving us Patch 7.2, then we can guess again how far away it will be until we get said patch.
Taking a glance at Wowpedia we can see that the typical PvP season is over 20 weeks.
Season Two began on December 13th, making it about a 20 week season.
So: Patch 7.2 will be either March 21st or March 28th.
Or it will be 20 weeks after that on: August 15th.
How is my detective work: on the spot or way off base?
